Overview Trip
Interested in a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam and with good knowledge about all the destinations and experiences of the two countries, Ju** and her friend got a quite clear plan of what to do and where to go during their journey. It was not hard for our consultant – Mark to make it work out. As a result, they enjoyed every part of the journey with a big thank you for Mark.

Hello Vietnam Tours,
My name is Ju***, I live in Durban South Africa and my fiance De*** and I would like to make enquiries about a 10 - 13 day holiday to Vietnam & Cambodia.
Is September a good month to visit?
I would like to go from South - North or North - South whichever you suggest. I'll give you an idea of the things we would like to do.
Starting either from Cambodia and going up North or visa versa.
List of things we enjoy:
- Beautiful UNESCO heritage sites
- Temples
- Natural beauty nature
- Walking / Kayaking / Cycling / Biking
- Culture / arts / history
- We love food - We eat fish and seafood, but no cow dairy (my fiance is highly allergic) - so basically vegan but with fish. - We are keen on street food and cooking tours for vegans.
- Enjoy night markets
- Not too keen on spending too much time in a big city
- We enjoy organised tours but want also to have a good balance of our own free time
Must sees:
- Sa Pa - around 2 days
- Hanoi - pass through 1 day
- Ha Long - 2 nights luxury lovely boat - including activities such as kayaking / visiting the caves
- Hoi An - very keen to spend about 4 days - see My Son, basket boat tour and surrounding sites & enjoy the shopping, food tours and romantic city.
- Mekong Delta
- Cambodia 2 or 3 days - Angkor Wat / spend time seeing Siem Reap
Not worried if we don't get to visit / or just pass through and not stay over .
- Hue
- Da Nang
- Ho Chi Minh
Based on all of this what kind of itinerary would you suggest. And would I be able to get an idea of cost.
Thanks so much

Hello Mark,
Warm Greetings from South Africa. Thank-you for your speedy reply.
I'll have a look at the itinerary and get back to you soon, as I need to confirm dates, and do a bit more research.
With regards to flights from South Africa to Cambodia or if we decided to start in Vietnam. Can you assist with giving advice on this? Or do I need to find out from my side?
Would it be a good idea to speak to your South African representative Katrine, about International flight information?
Kind Regards
Travel Consultant
Hello Ju***,
Thank you for your swift response
Regarding the flights from South Africa, you can choose to start the tour from either Vietnam or Cambodia, it's the same. Tomorrow I will give you the program details and advise about the flight schedule.
Yes, you should contact Ms. Katrine. She's been to Vietnam many times so surely have many experiences to share with you
Warm regards,
Mark

Thanks so much for this info Mark 😀 I'll read through it and get back to you in the next few days.
Can I choose any hotel I want to stay in whilst in Vietnam and let you know the name and you can book it? Or does your company only deal with a specific list of hotels?
Have a lovely day
Travel Consultant
Hi Ju***,
You are free to choose the hotels that you like, I will book them for you
I will be waiting to hear from you
Have a great day,

Hi Mark,
I was just thinking, please do have a look at what International flights do leave directly from DAD to Durban out of interest. Even if they don't stop in Singapore.
Best Regards
Travel Consultant
Hi Ju***,
I have look for several routings but unfortunately there’s no short flight from Danang to Durban, most of of them take around 30 hours and have to transit in two places at the least. That’s why I proposed to use the same routing as propose previously
Kind regards,
Mark

Good Day Mark :)
Sorry for the delay in reply. I thought I had mailed you yesterday, and only realised I had mailed my other email address.
I love the itinerary V.2, you have put together. Very excited about our trip. Do you assist with getting Visa's for Cambodia and Vietnam? Or explain to me how to sort this out?
Flights - We have decided to go with Singapore Airline Silk Air quote attached below, even though it is more expensive, its a lot shorter flying time than with Emirates.
Please tell me what the next steps are, and how we go about payment.
Here is my cell number if you want to whatsapp me +27 82 ………….
Warm Regards

Hi Ju***,
Thank you so much for the confirmation, it really made my day
Regarding the visa to Vietnam, you just need to send me your passport copies, I will acquire the visa approval letter and send you together with the application form. You will use these documents to get the visa stamp upon arrival ($25/person). For Cambodia, you don’t need the approval letter, you will fill in the application form and get visa on arrival ($30/person)
About the payment, we use two main methods, paying online via credit cards using the secured online payment gate or paying via bank transfer. But for the amount under $1000, I highly recommend the payment via credit cards for the convenient and swift transaction. Furthermore, you will be waived the transaction fee of 3%, while paying via bank transfer you will have to cover all the relevant bank fees.
Regarding the payment of land tour, we just need you make 30% deposit in advance so I can use to book the hotel and issue the ticket for you, and I highly recommend paying via credit cards. The remaining balance you can also paying in advance via bank transfer/credit card 1 month in advance, but will be charge with the transaction fee of 3% payment amount.
I would like to sum-up the payment as below:
- Total land tour: $2,490
- 30% deposit: $2,490 * 30% = $747
Regarding the airfare for international flights from South Africa, you will need to make the full payment via credit card within 24 hours after I block the ticket for you. Please send me the passport copies so I can use it to block the seats for you.
Warm regards,
Mark
