14 Days of Adventure in Vietnam and Cambodia

The cruise company shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel and depart for Ha Long Bay for your tour through the scenic countryside.

Embark on a boat for an exploration of the wondrous Ha Long Bay (translated as “where the dragon descends into the sea”) and enjoy one of Vietnam’s most impressive scenic sights.

This exciting cruise will provide a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karsts formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves. Along the way, anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and an enjoyable visit to one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs.

You are advised to put on the alarm clock to enjoy spectacular dawn over the bay. After a morning bath, breakfast on board. Continue for a further cruise to explore the bay. Transfer back to the pier to return Hanoi.

Depart from 7:30 – 8:00 AM by bus. We travel about 50km from Hoi An to My Son sanctuary. It comprises many Champa temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It was the site of the religious ceremony of kings of the Champa dynasty and was also a burial place of Champa royals and national heroes. The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost temple complexes of Hinduism in South East Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. You should come back hotel on your own. Today is a free day. Hoian offers something for everyone. You can relax at the beach, enjoy great shopping and discover the grace and history of this well preserved ancient town. It is a culinary mecca with a laid back nature. The old-town character and friendly openness of the locals of Hoian is a delight. 

Enjoy free time at leisure before we transfer you (without guide) to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, welcome and transfer to the hotel. 

Today, Ho Chi Minh City is a popular tourist destination due to its fascinating culture, classic French architecture, and sleek skyscrapers as well as ornate temples and pagodas. The city is also filled with rooftop bars that overlook Saigon and beyond, while fantastic restaurants offer a combination of French, Chinese, and, of course, local Vietnamese cuisine.

Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, and drive 1,5 hours to My Tho. We will stop along the way for refreshments and toilets. 

• Upon arrival, we board a motor-boat and cruise along a vast network of canals and channels to enjoy wonderful views of the Mekong River, including four famous islands “Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix”.
• Stop at one of the floating fish houses, in nets and wire baskets under their house, the villagers cultivate freshwater fish and shrimp - a major export product of the region.
• Cross the River to the other side, you will stop at a traditional workshop to witness a step-by-step process on how to make coconut candy, honey farming… while trying some yourself and listening to traditional music.
• Enjoy what local people offer by hand rowing a sampan along the shady, breezy canal. We will transfer to local transportation called Xe Lôi to travel throughout the villages.
• Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant with a Vietnamese 5-course set menu. Please request in advance if you have a food allergy, you are a vegetarian, or you observe Halal.
• Take a rest after lunch before boarding the motor-boat back to My Tho. We drive to Vĩnh Tràng pagoda, an ancient southern architectural gem built in the middle of the 19th century. There are many Buddha statues including some that are over a hundred years old.

We drive another 1,5 hours back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you at your hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Phnom Penh – the capital of Cambodia, by bus (It will take you about 6 hours). Our guide will guide you from the hotel to the station.

At 07:30 am In the morning, you will join a city tour to discover the beauty of Phnom Penh. You will have a chance to visit the most highlight destinations of the Cambodian capital, such as:

• Wat Unaloam
• Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda 
• Wat Phnom 
• Phsar Thom Thmey “Central Market” 

After that, transfer back to the hotel. Meal on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Phnom Penh.

Today, you will be transferred to the bus station with help from our driver and guide to catching a bus ride to Siem Reap - The ancient capital of Cambodia.

Upon arrival, transferred to the hotel with a local guide for hotel check-in.

You will be picked up from your hotel for a visit to the exceptional Angkor Wat - the most famous and largest temple complex in Cambodia and in the world as well. The complex is considered the architectural masterpiece thanks to its perfection in composition, balance, proportions, relief, and sculpture.

In the afternoon, continue onto the south gate to explore Angkor Thom which is no doubt the expression of the highest genius. Located in the heart of Angkor Thom, you can see the Bayon Temple with many other relics that offer a great chance to observe ancient sculptures. From the structure, continue onto the nearby Terrace of Elephants with 300 meters long through the core of Angkor Thom. Take a few steps to the terrace of the Leper King a double terrace located at the north end of the Terrace of the Elephants.

As the day comes to a close, head back to the hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Enjoy the last minutes in the city on your own before transfer (without guide) to the airport for your departure flight. The room is at your disposal until 12:00 noon only. Meals on your own. End of services.
