Your full-day tour is spent exploring the great ruins of Angkor Temples. Your first stop is Angkor Thom- a great historical structure of the city. Built in the late 12th century, this is the final and also the most long-lasting capital of the Khmer Empire. Spanning on the area of 9 square kilometers, Angkor Thom consists of many other ancient temples. Continue onto the nearby Terrace of Elephants with 300 meters long through the core of Angkor Thom. Take a few steps to the terrace of the Leper King a double terrace located at the north end of the Terrace of the Elephants.

Take some time to visit Baphuon, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas before visiting the famous Bayon Temple. Located in the heart of Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple features many other relics that offer a great chance to observe ancient sculptures. From the structure, discover the marvelous temple of Angkor Wat, a world heritage site with soaring towers and extraordinary bas reliefs. It is one of the most amazing monuments ever conceived by man, erected in the 12th century. The massive scale with the beautiful layout as well as the intricate carvings with delicate artistry makes the Angkor temples worth a visit for anyone traveling to this country. To get into the temple, you will cross the vast moat and follow a broad causeway. Once in the main building, continue to pass through a number of galleries and courtyard to reach the central sanctuary with the beautiful views of the surroundings.

En-route, make a stop to admire the sophisticated stone carvings with thousands of Apsaras sculpted on the wall. At any time of the day, Angkor Wat still exposes its timeless mystery but the sunrise and sunset may be the best. Take some time to explore the atmospheric Ta Prohm temple. Built in 1186, the temples were once home of thousand of people including Khmer people. Then, due to the collapse of the Khmer Empire, the temple now is abandoned and covered by tropical forests. This ancient temple makes you feel like you are traveling back to centuries ago. From the upper terraces of the ancient temple, you will watch the breathtaking sunset over the Cambodian countryside.

After breakfast at the hotel, continue your temple exploration with a visit to Banteay Srei- a small temple in the Angkor region. Still, it remains an interesting spot to explore thanks to its beautiful carvings. Banteay Srei is considered a gem of Khmer art with the wall decorated with flowers and Ramayana epic vignettes. Vietnam's weather differs greatly from region to region.  Depending on where and when you're going to visit, make sure you prepare for the weather before you go.

North: Best time to visit is during spring (from February and April) and autumn (from September to November). The temperatures are more moderate with lighter rainfall

Central: Best time to visit is between January and August when the weather is dry with no heavy rains

South: The best time to visit the region is during the dry season, between December and April when the city experiences warm weather without rain showers.

If you're planning to visit the whole country, it is possible to travel to any part of Vietnam during any season.

A Response from Seni World 06/12/2018

Depending on your place of choice and your interest, the duration could be varied. Normally, for first- time travelers, it will take you about 10- 14 days to discover the must-see attractions throughout Vietnam.

A Response from Seni World 22/12/2018

There are two available methods for passport holders from South Africa to choose to apply for a visa to Vietnam. You can either apply for your visa at the local embassy or obtain a visa on arrival with a visa letter.

You need to have a passport which is effective for at least 6 months beyond arrival date, 2 photos 4x6 and 2 blank pages on it for visa stamp (which costs 25$) and a visa letter. When you book tours with vietnamtour.co.za, we will offer a visa letter for free.

A Response from Seni World 03/11/2018

Our price doesn't consist of international flight tickets. If you have any problem in finding international flight tickets, we could book them for you.
