It will bring you an interesting approach to the life of the people in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

Afterward, we transfer to Tran Quoc Pagoda - the oldest of its kind in Hanoi, dating back to the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De Dynasty (544 - 548). The Buddhist shrine has undergone several changes throughout the years, particularly it is renaming from An Quoc to Tran Quoc (protecting the country) by Emperor Le Huy Tong in the 17th century.

Then we will move to Ho Chi Minh Complex where the great President Ho Chi Minh rests in peace. We will visit the traditional stilt house and the respected One-Pillar Pagoda, the special pagoda with a particular structure.

In the afternoon, visit Temple of Literature - famous for being the first university of Vietnam. You will recognize that this is a popular place for Vietnamese students to take commemorative photographs when graduating.

Afterward, our tour guide will take you around the Old Quarter for street food tour tonight. Eat as you go, walking through the maze of bustling streets, trying seasonal fruit and sampling tasty French-inspired snacks from a street cart. Try the famed Hanoi dishes such as Bun Cha Ta (a grilled pork and noodle dish) and Banh Cuon at a local eatery and watch as the skilled chefs demonstrate how this tasty dish is put together.

The next two snack stops are at outdoor BBQ stalls. Sit down with the Hanoi locals and sample various meat, vegetable and bread specialties that are flame grilled over hot coals for extra flavor.  It’s now time for dessert!

Your local guide will then take you to one of Hanoi’s best-kept secrets - Banh My Hanoi - a hidden street food restaurant where you can taste the top street foods in Hanoi including Vietnamese Rice Wine and the famous Egg Coffee. This hard-to-find café is one of the few left in the narrow street inside the old quarter of Hanoi.  Back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Get up close to each wheel and discover how water is transferred from river to handmade bamboo aqueducts via simple constructions of all sizes.

Continue the foot-path to a local fisherman’s house where you have a short rest for brief and preparation of rafting adventure with Mr. Dinh and his team. Float along the calm river and enjoy the views, in between learning how to paddle and steer your handcrafted rafts.

I had dreamed of travelling in South East Asia and had a long list of places & things to see (in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) - with no idea how I could fit them all in. I reviewed tour agents and ended up contacting Ashley Tran in Vietnam. It was a pleasure working with her albeit long distance via email and WhatsApp- she designed an itinerary that included most of the places on my list, and made amendments to accommodate my request for changes. I often thought that Ashley worked really hard and did not sleep much as she would communicate with me past what would be well past work hours in Vietnam. The trip through the 3 countries, many cities and hotels, as well as local and international flights, was well incredibly well organized - everyone showed up on time (from transfers, to guides and drivers), and things ran like clockwork. It was impressive. My holiday was filled with the beauty of these countries, the amazing food and lovely people - with each day making me more happy than the last - an incredible holiday which I could enjoy without any concerns because of Ashley's attention to detail I would highly recommend this tour agent and Ashley in particular. It was wonderful to finally meet her in Hanoi - the last stop on our trip.

In December 2019 we were lucky enough to do a 23 day tour through Vietnam. Friends of ours recommended Vietnamtours.co.za. So we emailed them and within a couple of minutes the ball started rolling. Our Agent Ashley was eager to help and worked out a itinerary that suited our request and of course our budget. We started in Hanoi working our way out Hoi Chi Min. We had a mini bus to ourselves every day we travelled and we were only 4. So space and comfort was on point. We had different guides throughout the tour and loved each and every one of them. They loved what they were doing and their knowledge of their country is impeccable. Shoutout to

Vietnam and It’s people are in one word AMAZING... I was fortunate enough to travel before and I must say the Vietnamese are SO Friendly. I felt save and comfortable the whole trip.

The food Is Amazing. It’s the first time I actually went on holiday where I lost weight because the food is so healthy and freshly prepared. Sometimes it might look different but believe me the taste is amazing. My pallet loved the whole experience. So much so that I’m trying to adopt the eating habits back at home.

Our trip showed us the very best Vietnam has to offer, so we have many stories and wonderful memories left of this Amazing Place.

I would strongly recommend using Ashley and her company to give you your dream holiday of Vietnam. It’s definitely A must See.

I can write a book about all our experiences and the beautiful places. But as I can only write so much I highly recommend. Pu Luong, Halong Bay Tràng An and Hoi An, Ba Na Hills And Both the cities of course.

Just a note Prepare yourself for the traffic in Vietnam... I call it Organized Chaos. It’s amazing to see the traffic flow. You will be gobsmacked

I highly recommend EVERYTHING

Vietnam's weather differs greatly from region to region.  Depending on where and when you're going to visit, make sure you prepare for the weather before you go.

North: Best time to visit is during spring (from February and April) and autumn (from September to November). The temperatures are more moderate with lighter rainfall

Central: Best time to visit is between January and August when the weather is dry with no heavy rains

South: The best time to visit the region is during the dry season, between December and April when the city experiences warm weather without rain showers.

If you're planning to visit the whole country, it is possible to travel to any part of Vietnam during any season.

A Response from Seni World 06/12/2018

Depending on your place of choice and your interest, the duration could be varied. Normally, for first- time travelers, it will take you about 10- 14 days to discover the must-see attractions throughout Vietnam.

A Response from Seni World 22/12/2018

There are two available methods for passport holders from South Africa to choose to apply for a visa to Vietnam. You can either apply for your visa at the local embassy or obtain a visa on arrival with a visa letter.

You need to have a passport which is effective for at least 6 months beyond arrival date, 2 photos 4x6 and 2 blank pages on it for visa stamp (which costs 25$) and a visa letter. When you book tours with vietnamtour.co.za, we will offer a visa letter for free.

A Response from Seni World 03/11/2018

Our price doesn't consist of international flight tickets. If you have any problem in finding international flight tickets, we could book them for you.
