Putao town is situated in the northernmost of Myanmar and only accessible by air from Yangon. Putao is a small and picturesque town in the Himalayan foothills and the Kachin and Lisu ethnic groups mostly inhabit there.

Recently, due to some political issues in The Republic of Myanmar, the Myanmar’s Government has decided to put a restriction on remoted-area of Putao town where foreign tourists can access the area only with a government permit on pre-arranged.

However, we believe that this restriction rule does not last long after the government has applied measures to calm the political conflicts down. Hopefully the beautiful town Putao will be opened to international tourists soon.
