As arriving at the airport, you will be transferred to the Pindaya caves. Set deep in the hillsides, the caves contain some 6000 Buddhas of various sizes, which are made of white marble, bronze or plaster, and coated with gold leaf. Keep driving to the magical Inle Lake – the jewel of Shan State. Visiting the lake, you not only have a chance to immerse in the charming scenery of the lake but also get an insight into the local culture and history.

Overnight at the hotel in Inle Lake.

After breakfast, set off your amazing journey with a boat trip on the stunning Inle Lake. Inle Lake is the country's second-largest lake and features floating villages, gardens, various tribes nearby and fishermen who row with their legs. You will pass through several villages that are built on stilts over the lake and the ‘floating gardens’ which are built up from strips of water hyacinth and earth then anchored to the bottom of the lake with bamboo poles. You will also see the leg-rowing fishermen of the lake who steer their boats with incredible balance.

En-route, you will take in beautiful sights of some of the lake’s most renowned sites. Make a stop to visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda -the most highly revered monastery in the Inle Lake area. It houses five ancient images of the Buddha that are completely covered in gold leaf. You also visit the nearby Nga Phe Chaung Monastery an attractive wooden monastery built on stilts over the lake at the end of the 1850s. The monastery is also known for a collection of old Myanmar’s Buddha images from different areas that are worth seeing. Your last stop is Nam Pan village where you will learn about the local life through a visit to the cotton and lotus weaving factories and cigar making houses.

In the late afternoon, return to the hotel.

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel for a beautiful excursion today. Set off from the low-lying lands at Inle Lake toward Taunggyi, then head into the rolling hills toward the east of the lake.

Along the way, you could see spectacular views of the railway line and small villages inhabited by Pa-Oh people. Spend time taking in the tranquil scenery in Taunggyi.

After two hour drive, you will reach Kakku which is home to Asia’s largest and most spectacular wonders. The Pagoda complex has over 5200 stupas with origins dating back centuries ago. Wander throughout the temples, take your time to enjoy the wonder and awe of this site and discover the intricate carvings and details on the structures.

You will not only have a chance to visit the temples, but also nearby villages to have a better understanding of the locals’ lives and customs. Afterward, drive back to Inle Lake.

In the morning, depart for a trip to the local market which takes place once every five days. This is the meeting point of the locals around the region to buy and sell their fresh produce.

Afterward, make your way to the Pa-Oh village of Indein. Indein is one of the small villages of Inle Lake located on the western bank of the lake. Here you will explore the ancient temple of Indein as well as enjoy the peacefulness of the village.

After lunch, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

In December 2019 we were lucky enough to do a 23 day tour through Vietnam. Friends of ours recommended Vietnamtours.co.za. So we emailed them and within a couple of minutes the ball started rolling. Our Agent Ashley was eager to help and worked out a itinerary that suited our request and of course our budget. We started in Hanoi working our way out Hoi Chi Min. We had a mini bus to ourselves every day we travelled and we were only 4. So space and comfort was on point. We had different guides throughout the tour and loved each and every one of them. They loved what they were doing and their knowledge of their country is impeccable. Shoutout to

Vietnam and It’s people are in one word AMAZING... I was fortunate enough to travel before and I must say the Vietnamese are SO Friendly. I felt save and comfortable the whole trip.

The food Is Amazing. It’s the first time I actually went on holiday where I lost weight because the food is so healthy and freshly prepared. Sometimes it might look different but believe me the taste is amazing. My pallet loved the whole experience. So much so that I’m trying to adopt the eating habits back at home.

Our trip showed us the very best Vietnam has to offer, so we have many stories and wonderful memories left of this Amazing Place.

I would strongly recommend using Ashley and her company to give you your dream holiday of Vietnam. It’s definitely A must See.

I can write a book about all our experiences and the beautiful places. But as I can only write so much I highly recommend. Pu Luong, Halong Bay Tràng An and Hoi An, Ba Na Hills And Both the cities of course.

Just a note Prepare yourself for the traffic in Vietnam... I call it Organized Chaos. It’s amazing to see the traffic flow. You will be gobsmacked

I highly recommend EVERYTHING

After googling and speaking to many of our South African and other Vietnamese tour companies, Vietnam Tours had the best quote and amazing customer service for our December travel to Vietnam and Cambodia.

We contacted them in June 2019 and liaised with Trung Hoang.

Trung was amazing from the get go.

He personalized our trip according to our exact needs, if we did not like specific hotels, he assisted with finding better options to suit our needs.

We chatted on email and whatsapp - payment was simple.

The itinerary that was planned was perfect - we had a private tour, best tour guides, lovely air conditioned vehicles, airport transfers were waiting on arrival and on time to fetch us for departures.

Thank you to Trung and the team for arranging a magical trip Vietnam and Cambodia.

Not only is the first tour operator in Vietnam focusing only on travelers from South Africa but Vietnamtour.co.za also has been receiving a lot of positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Moreover, we also have a representative in South Africa  - Mrs. Katrine Putick. You can contact her to book and confirm your tour to Vietnam right in South Africa.

Vietnam's weather differs greatly from region to region.  Depending on where and when you're going to visit, make sure you prepare for the weather before you go.

North: Best time to visit is during spring (from February and April) and autumn (from September to November). The temperatures are more moderate with lighter rainfall

Central: Best time to visit is between January and August when the weather is dry with no heavy rains

South: The best time to visit the region is during the dry season, between December and April when the city experiences warm weather without rain showers.

If you're planning to visit the whole country, it is possible to travel to any part of Vietnam during any season.

A Response from Seni World 06/12/2018

Depending on your place of choice and your interest, the duration could be varied. Normally, for first- time travelers, it will take you about 10- 14 days to discover the must-see attractions throughout Vietnam.

A Response from Seni World 22/12/2018

There are two available methods for passport holders from South Africa to choose to apply for a visa to Vietnam. You can either apply for your visa at the local embassy or obtain a visa on arrival with a visa letter.

You need to have a passport which is effective for at least 6 months beyond arrival date, 2 photos 4x6 and 2 blank pages on it for visa stamp (which costs 25$) and a visa letter. When you book tours with vietnamtour.co.za, we will offer a visa letter for free.

A Response from Seni World 03/11/2018

Our price doesn't consist of international flight tickets. If you have any problem in finding international flight tickets, we could book them for you.
