Head back to the town for a sunset view over the city from the top of Mount Phou Si. As the sun casts the long shadows, pay a visit to the colorful Night Market where local people and surrounding hill tribes sell their beautiful textiles and other hand-made products.

Today you will enjoy a full day boat trip on the grand Mekong River. Your first stop is Wat Xiengthong - one of the most well-known temple in Luang Prabang. Then, the boat you take you cross the Mekong River to reach some villages at Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan. Pay a visit to another royal temple at Wat Longkhoun and the nearby Sackarine Caves. Back to board and cruise towards Pak Ou Caves - noted for its hundreds Buddha images at different sizes and shapes.

After some time exploring the caves, cross the Mekong River again and approach Ban Ou for lunch. After lunch, transfer back to Luang prabang by land. On the way back, stop at Ban Xang Hai where locals make a unique rice wine called "lao-lao" by traditional method. You also stop at the villages of Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek to discover the traditional handicraft of hand weaving and handmade paper.

This morning, try to wake up early to join a unique ritual of alm-giving taking place on the streets of Luang Prabang. During the ceremony, you can see monks in their saffron-clad with the bowls in hand receiving offerings from the local people. In December 2019 we were lucky enough to do a 23 day tour through Vietnam. Friends of ours recommended Vietnamtours.co.za. So we emailed them and within a couple of minutes the ball started rolling. Our Agent Ashley was eager to help and worked out a itinerary that suited our request and of course our budget. We started in Hanoi working our way out Hoi Chi Min. We had a mini bus to ourselves every day we travelled and we were only 4. So space and comfort was on point. We had different guides throughout the tour and loved each and every one of them. They loved what they were doing and their knowledge of their country is impeccable. Shoutout to

Vietnam and It’s people are in one word AMAZING... I was fortunate enough to travel before and I must say the Vietnamese are SO Friendly. I felt save and comfortable the whole trip.

The food Is Amazing. It’s the first time I actually went on holiday where I lost weight because the food is so healthy and freshly prepared. Sometimes it might look different but believe me the taste is amazing. My pallet loved the whole experience. So much so that I’m trying to adopt the eating habits back at home.

Our trip showed us the very best Vietnam has to offer, so we have many stories and wonderful memories left of this Amazing Place.

I would strongly recommend using Ashley and her company to give you your dream holiday of Vietnam. It’s definitely A must See.

I can write a book about all our experiences and the beautiful places. But as I can only write so much I highly recommend. Pu Luong, Halong Bay Tràng An and Hoi An, Ba Na Hills And Both the cities of course.

Just a note Prepare yourself for the traffic in Vietnam... I call it Organized Chaos. It’s amazing to see the traffic flow. You will be gobsmacked

I highly recommend EVERYTHING

After googling and speaking to many of our South African and other Vietnamese tour companies, Vietnam Tours had the best quote and amazing customer service for our December travel to Vietnam and Cambodia.

We contacted them in June 2019 and liaised with Trung Hoang.

Trung was amazing from the get go.

He personalized our trip according to our exact needs, if we did not like specific hotels, he assisted with finding better options to suit our needs.

We chatted on email and whatsapp - payment was simple.

The itinerary that was planned was perfect - we had a private tour, best tour guides, lovely air conditioned vehicles, airport transfers were waiting on arrival and on time to fetch us for departures.

Thank you to Trung and the team for arranging a magical trip Vietnam and Cambodia.

Not only is the first tour operator in Vietnam focusing only on travelers from South Africa but Vietnamtour.co.za also has been receiving a lot of positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Moreover, we also have a representative in South Africa  - Mrs. Katrine Putick. You can contact her to book and confirm your tour to Vietnam right in South Africa.

Vietnam's weather differs greatly from region to region.  Depending on where and when you're going to visit, make sure you prepare for the weather before you go.

North: Best time to visit is during spring (from February and April) and autumn (from September to November). The temperatures are more moderate with lighter rainfall

Central: Best time to visit is between January and August when the weather is dry with no heavy rains

South: The best time to visit the region is during the dry season, between December and April when the city experiences warm weather without rain showers.

If you're planning to visit the whole country, it is possible to travel to any part of Vietnam during any season.

A Response from Seni World 06/12/2018

Depending on your place of choice and your interest, the duration could be varied. Normally, for first- time travelers, it will take you about 10- 14 days to discover the must-see attractions throughout Vietnam.

A Response from Seni World 22/12/2018

There are two available methods for passport holders from South Africa to choose to apply for a visa to Vietnam. You can either apply for your visa at the local embassy or obtain a visa on arrival with a visa letter.

You need to have a passport which is effective for at least 6 months beyond arrival date, 2 photos 4x6 and 2 blank pages on it for visa stamp (which costs 25$) and a visa letter. When you book tours with vietnamtour.co.za, we will offer a visa letter for free.

A Response from Seni World 03/11/2018

Our price doesn't consist of international flight tickets. If you have any problem in finding international flight tickets, we could book them for you.
