Today is spent exploring the hidden treasures of this vibrant city with a visit to the fascinating colonial landmarks and the Reunification Palace - an important place in Vietnam during war time. After that, visit Ben Thanh market and have some shopping tips from our guide. Back to your hotel at the early afternoon. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

This morning, leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and make your way to the lush Mekong Delta. You will explore this fertile region with a cruise through various waterways and wetlands. You are offered a special chance to see the floating markets – a typical feature of the region, fruit orchards and a number of small islands.

After that, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local house and enjoy the fresh air of fruit garden. You will have more time to explore the rural areas by walking or cycling. In the morning, pay a visit to the JWOC Community Centre to meet local children before transferring to the airport for a flight to Luang Prabang – the capital city of Laos. Start your city sightseeing tour with a visit to some beautiful temples of the city including Wat Sen and Wat Visoun - the oldest and one of the most beautiful temples of Luang Prabang. Afterward, head out of the city to visit Kuang Si Waterfall. On the way, you will see the picturesque landscape of the country with villages and verdant paddy fields. As one of the most famous waterfalls in Luang Prabang, Kuang Si Waterfall is an attractive destination with the endless charm of nature. After relaxing at the cave, proceed to Mount Phousi where you can get the spectacular views over the region. You also have some time to explore the colorful night market. Meals on your own. This morning, you will explore this beautiful town from a different perspective. You will embark a traditional boat for a leisurely cruise along the mighty Mekong River. Take the great chance this morning to attend the traditional ritual of almsgiving taking place on the streets of the city from the break of dawn. Take the full day today to explore the charming city of Hanoi. The city remains a great place to discover the stunning structures influenced by different architectures. This morning, after breakfast, leave the fascinating land of Hanoi for a scenic drive to the dreamy land of Halong Bay – the UNESCO Heritage Site. The thousands of islands located in a background of the Gulf of Tonkin make the bay a picturesque seascape. Visiting the bay, you will delve into the endless charm of different types of scenery.

You will embark on a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on the magical bay. Staying on board, you are also offered a great chance to savor a special menu of fresh seafood in the natural beauty of limestone formations. This is surely the best moment you have had in your journey in Vietnam.

Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.

 

Start your new day with an early Tai Chi exercise on the upper deck before having a light breakfast. After lunch on board, take the last chance to enjoy the impressive views of the beautiful limestone as the ship cruises through the numerous limestone.

After getting to the harbor, transfer back to Hanoi. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.

 

After breakfast, spend time relaxing until being transferred to Hanoi airport for a short flight to Hue- the ancient city of Vietnam. Welcome on arrival and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The room is at your disposal at 2 pm.

After a short rest, set off your exploration of the royal city with a visit to the famous Hue Citadel. The complex is located on the north bank of Perfume River and consists of 3 walled enclosures: the Citadel, Kim Thanh Hue, the Yellow Imperial City, Hoang Thanh. In the center of the complex is the Forbidden Purple City – Tu Cam Thanh. With the long-lasting history and the importance to Vietnamese history, the whole complex has been recognized as the World Heritage Site.

At the end of the day, head back to your hotel for relaxing. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

At the good time in the morning, you will be picked up for a transfer to Hoian via the scenic Hai Van Pass looking over the central coastline which offers you a unique chance to enjoy the amazing sceneries of Vietnam. Transfer to your hotel in Hoian. The rest of the day is free to relax. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Hoian.

Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the meeting point.

We will cycle through peaceful green paddies to reach the local market (Ba Le market). The tour guide will show you where the ingredients of the cooking courses come from and you will have a chance to capture the hustle and bustle trading lives of local people. After that, we head back to the restaurant where the chef and the cooking course are waiting for you.

Upon arrival, you will have a break with a Vietnamese coffee to cool down and relax. Then, let’s join a fun bamboo basket boat ride through small creeks in water coconut fields and the folk game “bit mat dap noi”

Once you get back, we will start to cook a variety of local dishes following the given menu. Our Chef and Tour Guide will instruct and assist you to cook during the class. Afterward we enjoy our delicious and mindful dishes together.

After lunch, we will take a lazy boat back to Hoi An Ancient Town. Sit back and enjoy the scenery and local life of fisherman along the riverside. Back to your hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

° Vietnam Lunar New Year – from 25.Feb.2020 – 03.Mar.2020 – if you travel during this period, there will be surcharged for some services – we will advise you clearly at the time of booking

Cancellation by Customer

Should you need to cancel your holiday once it has been confirmed, the party leader must immediately advise us in writing sent to us via fax or email. The following cancellation charges will be applied:

  • More than 21 days prior to departure: The total of deposit paid to us (30% of the Tour value).
  • 7- 21 days  prior to departure: 50% on total value of the trip charged, due to hotel charges for no-shows and organizing fees.
  • Within 1-6 days  prior to departure: 100% on total charged.
  • No-Show: 100% on total charged.

Note: Insurance premiums and amendment charges are not refundable in the event of cancellation.  

Cancellation of domestic or international flights:

If the cancellation occurs after a deposit was paid to the Airlines, a cancellation fees, of 25 – 40 % of the airfare for the domestic flight and USD30 – 50/pax for the international flight, is required (according to the policy of the Airlines).

Unused services:

No refunds or exchanges can be made with respect to accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services, included in the tour price, but not utilized by the tour members.

My husband and I just arrived back in Cape Town from the best ever Asian holiday, arranged by Vietnam Travel - Ha Nguyen (Sales1@Vietnam Travel). From the time I made contact with Ha, till we left Vietnam, she was inconstantly assisting and advising via WhatsApp and calls. She was 24/7 just a message or a call away. Our tailor-made holiday she arranged and booked with our agreement, suited us like a glove.

From arriving at Hanoi Airport, as mentioned in our correspondence by Ha, we were met by staff who quickly assisted us with the visa on arrival. We met the most dearest and friendly Ha outside to transport us to the hotel. She even booked us in at the hotel while we had a welcome tea.

The pickups were always on time, the tours with English speaking guides were all excellent. Mrs Trang in Hue and Mt Yen Toan in Ho Chi Minh City must be complimented for their knowledge and manner they have engaged with us.

The Ha Long Bay trip on the V Spirit Premier was an experience not to be missed. Hoi An with all the lanterns and soft street music is the most romantic city ever experienced in Asia. Our accommodation was perfect and of a high standard as well as the breakfast at the different hotels, from Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh.

I would highly recommend Vietnam Tour for any traveler from any country to Vietnam.

We landed in Ho Chi Minh and spent three days there. We went to see the tunnels that were excavated in the Vietnam War. Very interesting and thought-provoking. Did a local boat trip on the Mekong Delta. We were introduced to the way of life there and a had a splendid luncheon Prawns, fish, salads, etc. Something for everyone. Then on to De Nang. A very different experience. Wonderful markets with a variety of clothing, curiosities, food, and drink. Splendid Spa treatments. Went to the market umpteen times. Very good local restaurants all within walking distance of our hotel. Last stop was Hanoi. Another exciting experience. A highlight was meeting our agent Nguyĕn Thu Hà who was the most divine soul. She is extremely helpful and NOTHING is too much trouble. All our transport was arranged to and from airports and to venues and trips. The trip on Ha Long Bay on a cruise liner was fabulous. A country full of diversity and kind, happy and helpful people! A must visit. Try something different.

Ha Nguyen from Vietnam tours was beyond excellent in her service in putting together the most amazing 2-week trip. We started in the south in Ho Chi Min and ended in the North. Having a local agent in Vietnam made a huge difference. All arrangements, transfers, and tours went like clockwork and she checked in all the time to ensure that all was Ok. Tipping is not customary in Vietnam but it's highly appreciated. Most the high-end services include a service fee but if you receive a service that exceeded your expectation, then a tip is highly recommended. Normally, you should tip at least 1-3 USD/pax/day for your guide and driver.

Vietnam's weather is tropical climate with high humidity creating a favorable condition for many insects especially mosquitoes. Whenever you head outside especially in mountainous areas, be sure to apply repellent to all areas of exposed skin.

Depending on individual hotels, most of the hotels in Vietnam are equipped with all necessary amenities such as hair dryers, private bathroom, safety box, shampoo, body lotion and more. If you're not sure about the quality of these kinds of stuff, you can bring your own or buy outside.

You can easily find an ATM at any major cities across the country. Though, it's hard to find one in local areas, so make sure you prepare enough money for a journey out of the city.  Do not keep too much money along you to avoid the risk of theft.
